Opis materiału Freddy Cannon ~ Way Down Yonder In New Orleans Stereo

Great R&R hit from 1959/60. It made #3 in both the UK & US charts.
I've 'enhanced' the original mono sound for added enjoyment.
For superior Stereo sound add &fmt=18 to the url and refresh ....
or better still go to

Well, way down yonder in New Orleans in the land of the dreamy scenes
There's a garden of Eden, ah you know what I mean

Yeah, Creole babies with flashin' eyes softly whisper with tender sighs
And then you stop
Oh won't you give your lady fair a little smile
And then you stop
You bet your life you'll linger there a little while

Yeah, there is heaven right here on earth with those beautiful queens
Yeah, way down yonder in New Orleans

Excellent Old Song... Freddy Cannon🎶👍!

Sounds like he's singing into a large coffee can. Just because we have two ears doesn't mean the song needs to be artificially electronically futzed with. Good monoaural is still good sound.

Freddy Boom Boom Cannon appeared on American Bandstand over a hundred appearances, more than any other group or solo acts.

This hit from Freddy Cannon went to #3 on the Top 40 charts. It went to #14 on the Rhythm & Blues charts and to #3 in the United Kingdom. It would finish at #40 for the year, 1960. As we make our way to the top, who will be #1? Will Johnny Horton repeat? His #1 hit of the year for 1959 also was New Orleans related. Or will someone else take the torch? Stay tuned.
